•Managed start-up of new R&D pilot facility in downtown Chicago. Responsible for outfitting facility with $1.2 million of new equipment, totaling half of the division’s annual capital budget. This initiative has created a start-up culture within the larger company by enhancing cross-functional collaboration between the R&D team and brand management partners. •Managed all aspects of purchasing and installing new equipment. This required coordination between various key stakeholders, including senior leaders, to ensure project budget and deadlines were maintained. •Supported commissioning of new $100 million manufacturing facility. Responsibilities included collecting and analyzing product and equipment data, troubleshooting equipment issues, assisting in training of new operators, and ensuring product quality and safety throughout the manufacturing process. •Delivered $250,000 in annual cost savings by leading an R&D and operations team in the automation of ready-to-eat popcorn in processing. •Avoided $36 million capital expenditure by increasing popcorn plant’s capacity through improved utilization of existing equipment. Project resulted in presentation to senior leaders on plant improvements. •Led process development and extensive cross-functional collaboration in the creation of a new-to-market plant-based jerky product (projected $2.1MM annual sales). Project was highly visible requiring a micro validation study, identification of a new co-manufacturer, and installation of new equipment, on a 3-month timeline. •Mastered methods of product development (MOPD) system and am looked to as a leader among peers in bringing these project deliverables to completion. •Planned and executed plant trials for innovation projects and actively managed expectations to business group based on trial results.•Supported 3rd Party Manufacturing (3PM) Management team in identifying and vetting production facilities for innovation projects.

• Operated a plant focused on reducing toxic emissions from common energy producing reactions. • Analyzed and corrected the piping and instrumentation diagram for a full-scale carbon capture plant which accounted for hundreds of major and minor modifications across the plant.• Identified and proposed all necessary steps to safely and efficiently operate the plant. • In a group environment, designed and operated a commissioning test for the main pump on the plant to determine its operating conditions, mass transfer efficiencies, and potential malfunctions.
