My responsibilities in this company quickly expanded to cover several diverse projects including- Maintaining and developing new features for the software products. Software products were mostly developed in C# and ASP.NET technology.- Documenting and improving the software development lifecycle, and provide training to other Software engineers on the processes developed. - Managing projects and seeing them through from planning phase, to design and development phase and then to production. Projects including- Implementing and configuring a Help Desk system based on the OTRS open source software . The system is used for managing customer requests and feedback.- Conduct Risk assessments, Software Verification and Validation and other quality assurance activities to ensure high quality software products.

Bioinformatics Programmer on various projects in the translational bioinformatics research group working on a multi-simultaneous antibiotics resistance problem. Specific projects include:• Programming in C++ on DNA grammar, generated DNA annotations in standard format. This project is significant to the way bacterial DNA sequences are interpreted and the antibiotics resistance they may confer to a pathogen.• Programming in Java on DNA assembly project on plasmid sequences not handled by existing assembly programs. This project is significant to the way we sequence DNA and how we understand the DNA that leads to antibiotic resistance

Bioinformatics Engineer, Project revolved on the design and implementation of workflows for proteome software to analyse spectrometry data. Duties included:• Programming pipeline of in-house and outsourced tools using Taverna • Setup a local host server for GenePattern• Programming a workflow pipeline using GenePattern local server.
