As of the 1st July 2023 I have transferred to FM London Operations as a Group Manager Field Engineering based in Ireland. In this role I manage the Field Engineers working for FM based in Ireland.Before joining this Operation I worked for Amsterdam/Frankfurt Operations and previously London Operations as a Group Manager of Field Engineering where I managed the engineering activities of Professional Engineers. The team consisted of Resident Field Engineers in Scotland, Resident Field Engineer in Northern Ireland, Resident Field Engineer in Israel, Flood specialists, Hydrologist, Dam specialist and Consultant Engineers based in the UK. The group completed work throughout London Operations geographical territory and Europe. I fully supported London Operations Flood and Semiconductor activities in all regions, and I also was part of the London Operations MFL team. Since being a GMFE I have worked with and helped developed in excess of 70 Field Engineers. I have helped my engineers in the development of their technical and consulting skills through using my excellent technical knowledge and coaching skills. Many of the engineers I managed have been promoted to more senior positions.As a GMFE I review the technical quality of Risk and Loss Reports which the Field Engineers in my team produce and I have developed an excellent understanding of the FM operating standards. I also helped manage and improve the MFL and Flood engineering processes within London Operations through close support of the Senior MFL specialist and our Staff Hydrologist.

Conduct Loss Prevention and Risk evaluations at all types of industrial facilities including some of the world’s largest industrial facilities to help prevent losses from fires, explosions, equipment breakdowns and natural hazards. Partnering with our clients to help them make informed decisions on how best to protect their facilities against identified risks. Produce reports which identify the main exposures, develop loss expectancies and solutions which will reduce the exposure to an acceptable level.Project Manage on behalf of FM Global the construction of many large facilities which are key to company’s development plans e.g. Wyeth Clondalkin, Hewlett Packard – Liffey Park, Dell EMF 3 – Limerick, Kodak – Youghal, Allergan Westport. In all projects I received public acknowledgment from the design team and the insured.Develop specifications for the construction, protection and utilities of new facilities to ensure that they achieve a Highly Protected Risk rating.Review fire protection and structural submissions from contractors.Complete acceptance visits for construction and fire protection systems.Develop Disaster Recovery and contingency Plans with Senior Risk Management. Complete Loss Investigations.
