I attended Southeast Missouri State University to study Construction Management. The courses included studies involving construction, industrial, and manufacturing engineering technology. During my course studies, I also took a plan and blueprint reading class and classes where I worked with Oracle, On-Screen Takeoff, Revit, AutoCAD, some Procore, Bluebeam, and Navisworks. While studying at Southeast, I was required to intern for a summer. I interned at FiCON Inc., where I assisted the head estimator for numerous projects, worked on scheduling projects, did take offs, created bid invites, organized bids, and communicated with subcontractors. The software that I worked with and learned how to use was Building Connected and Microsoft Projects. I also worked out in the field as a laborer after my internship for a few months where I assisted the superintendent, helped chalk and install materials, and cleaned the job site. During my time at Southeast, I worked as a bartender and a server to help finance my education.
