The Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED), established in December 2021, is dedicated to scaling emerging technologies to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Managing over $25 billion, OCED partners with the private sector to accelerate clean energy projects, market adoption, and the equitable transition to a decarbonized system. The office oversees diverse demonstrations, including clean hydrogen, carbon management, industrial decarbonization, advanced nuclear, long-duration energy storage, and projects in rural and former mine areas.As a technical authority, I provide expert advice on cost analysis, focusing on compliance with federal regulations (2 CFR 200 and FAR 31.2). My role involves reviewing recipient policies, analyzing cost estimates, and mentoring new hires. I have enhanced team collaboration by establishing communication channels across divisions and served as Acting Team Lead, driving efficiency and knowledge sharing.

Leading a team of Financial Liaison Advisers, I provided technical and logistical guidance to enhance collaboration with agencies such as DOE, NASA, and DoD. I spearheaded initiatives to streamline processes, fostered teamwork, and engaged in strategic outreach to strengthen relationships with reimbursable customers, contributing to DCAA’s budget and operational efficiency.

I managed the small business program, providing technical guidance to contractors on cost analysis and compliance. My efforts included conducting webinars, offering personalized advice, and representing DCAA at industry events. I facilitated knowledge sharing and managed inquiries, helping small businesses navigate complex federal regulations.

As an Audit Manager, I supervised audit activities across numerous small and large defense contractors, guiding a team of 45 staff. My leadership ensured timely, quality audits, and I improved processes for planning and executing audits, significantly reducing backlog and cycle times. I also prioritized team development, training, and communication to drive office success.

Overseeing audit teams, I ensured quality control, guided audit processes, and delivered technical guidance on complex projects. I played a key role in improving audit efficiencies, provided hands-on training for new hires, and facilitated consistent, high-quality audit results across diverse contractor engagements.
