Logistics Readiness Officer

Provide oversight for squadron plans, goals, and standards for readiness and performance capabilities of the squadron and war readiness for the Wing. I work with and lead my team on planning and developing property and fiscal programs and procedures consistent with established policies and directives, including asset acquisition, distribution, accountability, fiscal programming, fund allocation, and economic analysis. My team and I coordinate with higher headquarters, staff agencies, supported units, and tenant activities to formulate, initiate, and assess courses of action relating to logistics readiness management. Exercises independent judgment in directing subordinates, including assigning responsibilities, providing guidance, and establishing standards of performance. Establish, revise, and review policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organizational design for the staff, as necessary. Recommends and participates in the selection of functional supervisors. Set performance standards and conducts formal and informal appraisals of individual and, flight performance. Resolves informal complaints through discussion and negotiation with employees, supervisors, and union representatives, and mediates problems between subordinate flights. Manage a $13+ million-dollar vehicle fleet consisting of fire and police emergency vehicles, supporting 600,000 enplanements at Burlington International Airport, mission-specific vehicles for the F-35 mission, along with state mission-specific resources and heavy equipment.
