Joseph "Joe" Jacobs represents lenders and financial institutions in disputes related to lending practices, loan origination, debt collection practices, loan servicing, and deceptive business practices. His practice also includes the defense of claims arising under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, as well as a variety of common law claims. Joe also has experience representing corporate clients in complex litigation involving product liability, contract disputes, theft of trade secrets, trademark claims arising under the Lanham Act, and in actions by government agencies alleging unlawful business practices. At Fordham University School of Law, Joe gained valuable client-based experience working in the Federal Litigation Clinic and at the Irish Refugee Council Independent Law Centre in Dublin, Ireland.
