- Lead and manage team of investigators on all aspects of case reviews from case origination to completion. - Responsible for allocation and overview of all case work and subsequent reviews resulting from the investigation of such cases. - Provide technical and program specific knowledge of crop insurance program on a national level to not only team members but outside agencies as well as cooperating investigators/attorneys. • Protect the integrity of the crop insurance program in the best interest of the insured and American taxpayer by assuring compliance with crop policy terms and approved FCIC procedures.• Assess program vulnerability, fraud and program abuse by investigating alleged and indicted instances which involves gathering evidence to recreate events and timelines as well as the calculation of premiums, liabilities, guarantees and indemnities to support RMA findings.• Helped to create and serve as regional compliance point of contact for agency wide IPERA program to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of the crop insurance program as a whole. • Recommend changes in policies, loss adjustment procedures and other farm related processes to help more accurately align the crop insurance program and farmer/customer. • Maintain open communication with county Farm Service Agency offices to help aid in the verification of self-reported producer information in an effort to resolve assigned cases. • Proficiently navigate SQL databases in order to attain, manage, and present data in clear and concise formats to help make more accurate decisions on a case by case basis. • Work closely with insurance companies, agents, and adjusters to help manage, alleviate and disclose problems that arise during the crop year to help increase efficiencies throughout the crop insurance program. • Work closely with OIG and at times Assistant US Attorneys in an effort to resolve various cases
