Notable achievements:1) The Project Manager leading a cross-functional team (Operations, Marketing, Finance, IT) on the setting-up and subsequent management of the Pre-departure Testing project which provided in-clinic swabbing services for out/inbound travelers at 45 clinic locations island-wide. The project achieved a substantial revenue contribution to the company and its subsidiaries.2) Primary contributor in developing and establishing a new Certificate course in "Covid-19 swabbing proficiency and swab-site operations". The course was a resounding success - which trained over a thousand-odd students and registered a tidy profit for Q&M College of Dentistry in year 2021.3) Assisted the COO in change management initiatives in core functions in the company using industry best practices such as Kaizen, recognition/reward matrixes, agile methodologies and traditional project management.4) Leads strategic initiatives and performs market research analysis using SWOT and PESTLE analyses, and determines project viability using NPV, payback period, IRR and DCF.

Laboratory work:1) Using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) derived cardiomyocytes (CM) to study human stem cell and cardiovascular development.2) Reprogramming fibroblasts from human patients to create iPSC-CM cell-lines (disease-in-a-dish model) for studying molecular etiologies of Long QT Syndrome Type II (LQTS2), which provided a model for novel drug discovery/ drug repurposing. 3) Led tissue-engineering initiative using iPSC-CMs to construct "cardiomyocyte band-aids" in treatment of myocardial infarction (MI) - commonly known as a heart attack.The research culminated in 3 co-authored publications in industry-renowned medical and scientific journals.Lab managerial function:Maintaining laboratory inventory, dealing with internal and external stakeholders for purchasing and collaborations, determined lab risk assessments, assisted in scientific and governmental grant applications.
