A passionate naturalist with a specialism in ornithology, aspiring to contribute towards conserving Britain's wildlife and developing a more sustainable future. Currently working as a Project Ecologist for SLR consulting, I have demonstratable skills in field research, survey techniques and data manipulation, as well as a strong understanding of the scientific method and project design.After attaining a Bachelor's degree in Animal Biology from the University of Gloucestershire, I undertook a funded, ornithology-based, MSc by Research. This involved the design, data collection, analysis and write up of a one-year research project examining chick provisioning and nestbox use at RSPB Nagshead Nature Reserve.I have held a trainee permit for the BTO Ringing Scheme for several years and I'm working towards obtaining an independent licence. Partaking in the scheme has, and continues to improve, my bird identification skills and expand my ornithological understanding (i.e., avian moult patterns and seasonal migration).
