Specializing in custom fabrication and design of architecturally unique elements and structures. We are based out of Oakland California, but are often traveling for unique design/build clients and opportunities. Our practice is focused toward gesturally-unique, modern, hand-made forms of architecture. We do not practice “mass customization” and believe in the importance of unique solutions per site, client, time, etc. We seek to bridge an often times conflicted gap between architect and contractor, and thereby reduce change orders, loss of inspiration/idea, miscommunications, and conflicted intentions. We are dedicated to empowering our clients by enabling sweat-equity and minimizing standard commercial construction costs. Our strong social mission diversifies and enriches our work, through education, charitable building and design, and development of technologies and building systems that maximize “sustainability” and “green” features of a project. Our firm buys/builds local and thinks global-seeking the “genius-loci” of place.
