Until moving to Los Angeles in June 2015 I lived in London, where I spent most of my thirty-five year financial services career after short stints in Asia and New York. I retired in 2014 from Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), where I was a managing director and head of the London office. Prior to opening that office in 1998, I was a managing director responsible for business development and client services at Salomon Brothers Asset Management in London, and previously worked as an account executive with Merrill Lynch in Seoul. A graduate of Bowdoin College (A.B. 1975) and the Harvard Business School (MBA 1983), I served in the Peace Corps in Korea from 1975 to 1978. I currently serve as a trustee on the boards of Bowdoin College and The Sutton Trust.
