Worked as a party chief /setting out Engineer on the Narrows lake project for Cenovus.• Reading engineering plans.• Assisting other contractors with problems they may have. • Setting up GPS, Running GPS calibrations.• Layout of excavation limits, grade stakes, road layout.• Pile layout, Pile cut off elevations, Pile cap alignment.• Gridline layout, Bolt layout, Bolt elevations, Top of concrete elevation.• Asbuilts • Supervising my assistant in safety and making sure FLHA are filled out and updated.• Q/C of my own work and reporting any other problems to contractor supervisors.• Completing field notes and sketches on time to a high standard.• Traversing and resecting in points.• Establishing vertical and horizontal control.• Managed the installation of the site storm water system, surveying pipe invert elevation and positioning, obtaining solutions for any manhole defects.Using a number of equipment such as Trimble RTK R8 (GPS), S6 and S8 (Robotic Total station), Leica optical and digital level, Line locator.Dec 2012-Jul 2013: Worked as a party chief in training, carrying out third party checks on behalf of JV.Driver and imperial oil on their Nabiye project building a SAGD plant.Responsibilities • Worked closely with PACER, monitoring pile placement, setting reinforcement cages to the correct elevation and position, reporting any defects in the poured concrete.• All other job tasks mentioned above.
