Vetting and monitoring Vegetation Management Crews during storm events across the United States.

Manage the day to day operations of the Line Clearance Program for the City of Florence. Florence Utilities, Electric service area includes the City of Florence and Lauderdale County, Alabama. Service area includes approximately 2,700 miles (Sub Transmission 46KV, and Distribution), 70%, which is rear lot or bucket inaccessible. Duties include, Budget planning and analysis, monitoring crew efficiency. Daily monitoring of In-house and Contract tree (trimming, mowing and spray) crews, purchasing equipment and contracting equipment that is best suited for the vegetation management needs of the Utility, drawing up and implementing new contracts for the Utility (T&M, Firm Price and Unit Price), customer and employee conflict resolution. IVM Specialist. I also do public speaking of behalf of the Utility regarding tree issues and concerns, in an ongoing public relations campaign aimed at educating the public on proper pruning and planting techniques.

Responsible for coordinating line clearing activities. I worked closely with state and municipality officials, on proposed line clearance activities, within their jurisdiction. Made customer contacts, for proposed tree trimming or removal of vegetation posing a hazard to power company facilities. Resolved disputes arising from property owners involved in process. Planned work and distributed Line Clearance crews, communicating information accurately and completely, in an ongoing effort to streamline the line clearing process.
