Managed Logistics Department, which included Production Control, Purchasing, Planning, Scheduling, Inventory Control, Supply Chain, and Warehouse, for eight DOD, and Commercial product lines.*1. Established and implemented first VMI, Vendor Maintained Inventory system, for hundreds of hardware inventory items, production supplies, and tools. Developed a strong key VMI Supplier source, negotiated a zero expense VMI, and incorporated VMI with LEAN production. Results, reduced inventory stock levels 90%, eliminated 85% Operator labor waste, reduced part search time from 12 minutes per part, to 10 seconds, reduced PO processing, accounting, and administration expense 63%, and reduced the material cost on every VMI item from 8% to 70%. *2. Created, and implemented Master scheduling for Surface Mount Production. Tenaciously analyzed every process step in product life cycle improving Customer sales priority, forecasts, critical resources, kit scheduling, design setup time standards, operation, and labor standards. Results, more than tripled output, efficiency, and quality, using less labor and less machine resources. Customer delivery performance was improved from 62% across all product lines to 98%.*3. Launched a Warehouse material reduction and inventory accuracy program. Analyzed slow moving, obsolete, high dollar, long lead time, bulk inventory, safety stock levels, ABC code designations, implemented Kan Ban, and created performance metrics. Results, reduced of material burden 32%, reduced slow moving and obsolete inventory 42%, reduced long lead-times 25%, and improved Warehouse inventory accuracy from 88.6% to 99.52%.*4. Designed and managed a complete Supplier Performance Evaluation System. Created policy, procedures, Supplier Performance rating Reporting system, and created Supplier PPV metrics, and A Key Supplier List. The results increased Supplier performance 46% and saved over $300.000 dollars on material supplied by new key Suppliers.
