I began a 6-week Adult Sunday School series on the Christian practice of hospitality.I am working towards the goal of getting licensed to preach in the Presbytery of Southern California of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church on the first stated meeting of the presbytery in 2021.

I exhorted the congregation from Matthew 5-7. I organized and led the liturgy every Sunday evening, and I led a portion of morning worship on occasion. I exhorted the congregation in the mountain range during the Long Beach OPC Family Camp (1 John 1:6-2:2). I practiced the art of hospitality among the members at Faith OPC. I open-air preached at Long Beach City College once.I visited members of the congregation as a form of pastoral care.I met regularly (twice/week) with Pastor James Lim to discuss the internship.I taught Gospel messages for the weeklong Vacation Bible School for the kids (Elementary - Middle School age). I taught 1-2 lessons to the College Group shepherd group. I attended the regular session meetings, and some of the regular trustee meetings. I sat in on numerous counseling sessions led by Pastor Lim. I preached a gospel sermon (from 2 Peter) to the Long Beach Rescue Mission for men. I organized and led an informal event regarding how a Christian might consider dating. I taught 4 lessons from the Westminster Larger Catechism to the Adult Sunday School.

I prepared and taught two open-air Bible studies from Psalms at a local park. I taught Adult Sunday School each week using lessons from Dr. W. Robert Godfrey's "Learning to Love the Psalms."Even after my formal summer internship concluded, I continued to lead the congregational prayer meeting, the Wednesday evening Bible study (on Genesis and Exodus), and I exhorted about once per semester.

I train students by planning, teaching, and grading/reviewing student test and homework data. I help create, monitor, and review individualized plans for low, medium, and high-performing students. I assist with parent-teacher meetings, as well as communicate well with administration and parents when necessary. I work with projector, printer, and other networking technologies, and I regularly create Excel spreadsheets to organize student data. As BASIS Phoenix Central's District AZELLA (Arizona English Language Learner Assessment) Test Coordinator and English Language Learner (ELL) Coordinator, I design and implement individualized instruction that is data-based, documented, follows state standards, and is monitored and reported to parents quarterly. I also provide and plan for after-school parent meetings, student testing, record keeping/research, state reporting and ongoing mandatory professional development to keep up to date with all state and federal standards/mandates regarding ELL students.

I worked part-time as the Physical Education teacher for this small, private, Christian school in Orange County, California during the last two years of my undergraduate study at the University of California, Irvine. I planned, taught, and tracked the progress of three different groups of students in grades Kindergarten-2nd grade, 3rd to 5th grade, and 6th to 8th grade. I monitored their physical fitness through weekly checks using the Presidential Fitness standards (2012-2013) and the Presidential Youth Fitness Program standards (2013-2014) based on 1-mile time, flexibility, sprinting capability, and timed push-up and sit-up capability. I instilled leadership virtues and motivated cooperation as I taught several team sports over the course of the quarters of the school years. I served duties at my appointed times, proctored Stanford standardized tests, and volunteered as driver, coordinator, and school representative at ACSI events (Association of Christian Schools International) such as regional Spelling Bees, Math Olympics, and Speech Meets. I also provided for my replacement when I had to resign from my position in February 2014 due to graduation requirement classes and an internship began to poach my afternoon hours.
