Broad Street Columbus, OhioHuman Resources Staffing/Recruitment & Placement SpecialistGS-0201-11- Salary $64,678 40 hours per/wk. Serves as a Human Resources (HR) Specialist on the Defense Commissary Researches and analyzes new and changing guidelines, regulations, decisions and directives from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), U.S. Government Accounting Office, Department of Defense, Headquarters Defense Commissary Agency and Defense Logistics Agency Provides technical advice to management in resolving difficult and controversial recruitment and placement problems including defining issues, determining applicable precedents, laws, or regulations, and identifying the most effective approach and technique to validate the correctness and propriety of the actions taken. Communicates, assignments, projects, issues, resolutions and work progress or deadlines Identifies and distributes work assignments, considering work requirements and employee skill levels Prepares Job Opportunity Announcements (JOAs) and Delegated Examining Unit (DEU) announcements. Facilitates placement programs to include Priority Placement Program (PPP), Veterans' Recruitment Appointment (VRA), Reemployment Priority List (RPL) program, Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP), and the agency Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP) Performs internal placement duties including conducting job analysis, preparing promotion and placement products, and issuing promotion and referral certificates Performs external recruitment by developing multiple recruitment strategies utilizing such sources as veteran readjustment, reinstatement, and direct hire appointment authorities.  
