As a recent graduate from MSU, I am passionate about leveraging software to solve real-world problems. My academic career has equipped me with a strong foundation in computer science principles and software engineering skills, particularly in Python and C++.During my time at MSU, I had the opportunity to work for a research group where I helped construct a research paper focused on using Natural Language Processing to detect health misinformation. This experience served to solidify technical skills in Python, Pytorch, and Transformer models. It also helped ignite my interest in machine learning and data analysis.I am currently seeking opportunities to apply my skills in software development and data science. I am eager to make a difference in the world at a company that is solving important problems.

  During Summer 2022, I worked for the MSU Heterogeneous Learning and Reasoning Lab. With the help of two professors and a graduate student, I authored a research paper focused on detecting Health Misinformation using Natural Language processing. This paper has been published and can be found at https://arxiv.org/abs/2211.05985. I employed transformer models such as Bert and RoBerta to classify bodies of text that could be misleading or missing context.
