• Redesigned the spring system for a ram pump to significantly improve adjustability and consistency byimplementing two springs with different spring constants in series, replacing the previous parallel configuration.• Conducted experiments by varying the spring configurations which determine the points at which the check valve opens and closes. The results are compared with the theoretical model to determine its efficiency.

• Developed a LabView-based customized automated process control software for the AguaClara PF200, a small-scale prefabricated pilot plant which can provide safe drinking water for 200 people. Configurable I/O and easily adjustable multiple PID automation allowed for streamlined monitoring and control of the plant’s components.• Monitored the sedimentation tube, flocculator sludge drain, and sampling pump lines for clogging and ensured proper maintenance.

• Performed numerical calculations in MATLAB to investigatethe validity of Sperry & Love’s model for stomatal regulation.• Navigated research papers in the fields of hydrology, climatescience, and biology to propose an argument against thevalidity of the model, drafting a comparison of the model withexperimental studies of stomatal behavior.

• Constructs lesson review plans for the MATH 1920: Multivariable Calculus curriculum while fostering an active learning environment• Develops interpersonal, teaching, and communication skills through weekly 2-hr sessions with students and 7 separate training workshops.

As a member of the Incubates Team, I design creative solutions to address often-unacknowledged social issues. During my first year, I worked with a small team to design an installation that tackles the issue of social isolation in a college environment.After months of research and design iterations, we presented our project in an editorial titled, "Artifacts for All" as well as an article in Medium.com.

• Compiled 16 resumes from students in AguaClara to display in a virtual project team showcaseand presented about our work.• Organized and presented an engaging professional development workshop of approximately 50 students involving activities to practice interview skills, resume writing, and networking.• Maintained a healthy connection to AguaClara alumni and developed a mentorship program with 29 alumni to help students with their career plans.

Produced intuitive and descriptive animations of the AguaClara water treatment plant for an informational video about how it functions.

Conducted experiments on a model of the AguaClara coagulation system within the water treatment plant to determine the optimal coagulant dose for flocculation.

Designed methods to optimize the fluoride removal process using polyaluminum chloride (PACl) within the AguaClara plant by conducting experiments on both gravity-powered and pump-operated models.
