Water Resources Engineer
Current• Provides support for senior engineers on a variety of tasks and projects related to surface water management and stream restoration.• Proficient in building 1D and 2D hydraulic modeling of streams and channels in HEC-RAS, including rain-on-grid models, dam breach scenarios, stream restoration, and CLOMR and LOMR work.• Creates and analyzes SWMM and PCSWMM models to assess existing and proposed stormwater system conditions.• Proficient in channel and detention pond grading in Civil3D in accordance with various criteria.• Up to date on current Colorado guidelines for water management from several regulating agencies, including MHFD, Town of Erie, City of Fort Collins, and City of Aurora.• Generates cost estimates from current MHFD and CDOT pricing for various stream restoration projects.• Uses HEC-HMS modeling to determine dam breach and spillway impacts using newly updated SEO criteria.• Creates maps, figures, and spatial data for use in internal and external documents using ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap• Designed and coded several workload forecasting and technical study checklists in Excel for internal use to improve efficiency.• Experience conducting and writing CLOMR and LOMR studies for various clients around Colorado.• Talented in writing and compiling design reports, technical memos, and other documents for client review.
