Lead designer of Recovery System for Notre Dame Rocket Team's 2019-2020 entry in NASA's University Student Launch Initiative. Managed team to produce system capable of safely and reliably deploying a series of parachutes to return a student-built rocket from an apogee over 4000ft to the ground within 90 seconds, while maintaining a safe kinetic energy at landing and preventing the rocket from drifting more than 2500ft.Performed loads analysis, drift and trajectory analysis, designed the mechanical hardware using PTC Creo, and machined the mechanical components on a CNC router. Led the integration and installation of the recovery electrical components.
