Joseph Wolf is a saxophonist from Lancaster, PA, pursuing a degree in Music Education at West Chester University. Joe performs with the West Chester University Wind Ensemble, and previously performed with the West Chester Wind Symphony and Millersville University Concert Band. He has performed solo and chamber works at several workshops most notably the Eastman Summer Saxophone Institute and the American Saxophone Academy, and participated in several masterclasses with Paul Harr, Nicki Roman, and Steve Wilson. Joe was the recipient of the 2017 Laurie Wagaman Etude Competition at University of the Arts. He has also traveled to several conferences including the North American Saxophone Alliance Biannual Conference and the Navy Band Saxophone Symposium. As a teacher, Joe maintains a summer studio ranging from beginner to high school students and is the suggested saxophone teacher for several school districts in the area. He is also a Brass and Woodwinds Technique instructor for the Marching Band at Hempfield High School. During his junior and senior year of high school, he was Drum Major, Band President, and Student Director/Conductor of the Symphonic Band. He was also selected for a number of honors ensembles throughout his high school career. Joe is an active supporter of new music and has premiered and/or commissioned new works by Aaron Jay Myers, F. Morris Gelbart, Hunter Gregory, and Robin McLaughlin. Joe has been a shift leader at Firehouse Subs in Lancaster, Pa since 2018.
