Incoming MD Candidate at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (Rutgers). Completed a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology at Stony Brook University where I wrote my thesis on disease-associated variants of N-methyl-d-aspartate (NMDA) receptors. Current biotechnology researcher who has worked in both academia and industry. Prior to my civilian employment, I was a US Army Officer of four years. Achieved the rank of Captain, as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Officer fulfilling many roles including scientific assessment, management, logistics and planning. I am still currently a service member in the New Jersey National Guard in the 44th IBCT. My passions outside of my occupation include fitness - weight training and cycling, carpentry, golf, films and books.
