Since I was a kid, I’ve been enamored with problem-solving and finding solutions. In the summer of 2013, I started construction on my first big project – a two-story treehouse in the back-40 of my parents’ land. My tree house project had several important objectives – it needed to be resistant to the elements, have a minimal long-term environmental impact, and the cost of construction need to remain within my limited budget. I understood the scope of the project, prioritized my objectives, and made my idea a reality. Not much has changed since then, so naturally, I found a career as an engineer. As an engineer, I enjoy solving problems, working through competing project priorities, and coming up with the best possible solution. It is my goal to use contribute my expertise in a meaningful way.Besides engineering, I love to ride my bike, cross-country ski, and hike (really, I just love being outdoors.) I’m also working toward getting my pilot’s license and developing my carpentry skills.
