Hello! My name is Joseph Janecek and I am currently enrolled at the Bachelor of Medical Science, soon entering the Doctor of Medicine program at Griffith University. Prior to university, I undertook secondary studies at Marsden State High School for my junior years (Years 7-10), and Brisbane State High School for my senior years (Years 11-12).Currently, I am a private tutor for many students within the years 7-12 and plan on further excelling by starting a company with many friends who also achieved well in year 12, one that prioritises the academic achievement of future students.I aspire to be a future neurosurgeon as I am constantly fascinated by how the mind works. I find enjoyment in wondering how everything we do, voluntary and involuntary, works through the stimulus of many different neural pathways. While neurology covers many aspects of neuroscience that I am fascinated by, I find further satisfaction in the thought of being able to get hands-on in a surgical suite.While neurosurgery is a difficult pathway to specialise in, I find many skills from my personal hobbies and current bachelor's degree which are transferrable into the field of neuroscience, including: - My ability to communicate and cooperate with peers, refined through personal activities, including brain exercises such as puzzles and trivia, and video games. - My critical thinking, creative thinking, and stress control skills, polished by maintaining physically and mentally healthy. This is achieved through extracurricular activities, such as gym, football, and chess. - My leadership skills, acquired through debating, advocacy, and football, have also been further cultivated through my family (who strongly value leadership). - Efficient time management skills and enduring long hours of intense work, developed through the studies of secondary and tertiary education.

  I have been privately tutoring since the end of my secondary studies, with intentions of helping tutees achieve academic success as well as developing interpersonal and team skills to further help them in their future beyond high school.I strive for the best and most effective tutoring sessions for my students.
