Responsible for daily Quality activities tied to the manufacture of New Holland & Case IH Hay Tools products at the New Holland Plant.

I am based at the Case-New Holland Tech Center in New Holland, PA. I support new product launch activities and manufacturing of Flagship CaseIH Combines in Grand Island, NE.

Six Sigma Black Belt, Continuous Improvement Engineer August 2010 awarded the Bob Lee Innovation Award for a low cost solution to a production problem. The Acid Fill Variation Reduction Project will generate $185k in annualized savings at the Middletown Plant and has been chosen to be implemented in all JCI Power Solutions Battery Plants. This distinction was recognized during the Team Rally event in Milwaukee where the top15 projects from the US & Latin America competed.

 Ensure compliance to Corporate Tool & Equipment Bulletins for major tooling components involving Skilled Trades employees. Support Production Groups with regard to process compliance, Business Plan Deployment, and Quality Focus items. Maintain and support Departmental Quality Control processes and Information Life-Cycle Management process. Department Planner for Body Assembly – coordinate special builds, Engineering Try-Outs, and Part Try-Outs. Assist Vehicle Assembly Engineering Group with build studies. Manage Torque requirements for Body Assembly. Instrument Measurement & Testing Coordinator. Department Lead for ISO 14001. Department Co-Lead for ISO 9000.

 Identify and control dimensional items that impact production quality and throughput. Reduce variation in production processes through use of statistical process control tools. Support build studies through part try-outs, process/tooling changes, and dimensional reviews. Launch and debug all new tooling systems. Process dimensional performance reports. Manage work groups during root-cause analysis. Respond to customer and quality concerns.

 Assisted new vehicle launch by supporting tooling concept, design, and build. Understood major tooling systems to ensure proper use. Supported maintenance and production personnel during equipment breakdowns. Responsible for all major tooling systems in General Assembly – Chassis secure, Tire & Wheel, Vehicle Alignment, and Cockpit install. Determined cost effective opportunities to enhance vehicle build, production throughput, and operator ease. Applied knowledge of Body Assembly architecture to issues affecting General Assembly – exterior panel fits, glass openings, interior trim, etc.

 Transitioned from Body Assembly to General Assembly. Assisted General Assembly personnel in problem solving activities. Responsible for General Assembly tooling systems.

 Assisted in tooling design concepts for future vehicle program while working with Central Office Engineers in Michigan. Determined sub-assembly check fixtures required for future vehicle and follow from design concept through installation. Assisted in prototype vehicle builds in Germany and Michigan. Implemented Process Control Plans. Worked with installation teams to conduct Repeatability/Reproducibility studies in order to ensure all tools meet build expectations and deliverables. Supported all build iterations for a successful launch of saleable vehicles. Managed a group of 8 Validation Engineers during dimensional check system implementation.

 Hired as Toolmaker apprentice, completed studies and achieved Journeyman status. Worked in General Assembly and Body Assembly supporting the production process. Competent in machining, welding, and fabrication of hand-tools and fixtures as production aids. Literate in Autocad 2007 and other CAD packages.
