• I entered, analyzed, and visualized previous day's cash data, and help management team find creative ways to implement into the store. This required multitasking and teamwork skills as I had to juggle multiple tasks at once and work with multiple department heads. I routinely did more than my job description asked, filling in for other employees when they didn't show up in order to help the team succeed. Routinely I would plan ahead, and set goals for tasks that were time-sensitive. As the management team and assistant coordinator position typically had high turnover, I had to train new team members on both my job, and other people's jobs. I was in charge of new hire employees, and did my best to make sure they had the skills and knowledge of their job before they were sent onto the floor to work in a high stakes environment. I held this job for 2.5 years while attending the University of Colorado Boulder, and had to complete my academic coursework in a way that it didn't compete with my work schedule. I was taking 16-20 credit hours on top of a 32+ hour work week. It got me to improve my time management skills, as well as my task prioritization skills. In this job I utilized Microsoft Suites (excel, docs, PowerPoint, etc.), and often assisted my main bookkeeper with tech questions they had. I also worked as an HR rep to most of the employees, and as Assistant Coordinators got replaced, employees would often come to me while I was helping in other departments to ask questions, or get their problems solved. I utilized customer service skills, and had many repeat customers whiles I was cashiering, tending the meat department, or working other departments. In this job, I had to be flexible and a quick learner, as you never knew when someone wouldn't show up, or quit on the spot. I am familiar with taking on extra workload, and do my best to set other people up for success.

This job required teamwork, management, and working with heavy machinery. As it was one of the busiest stores in the state, we had a high volume of tire checks, replacements and flat repairs. Due to the high volume, I had to multitask, keep track of other cars, and communicate with other staff to make sure we were on time. Paired with the heavy machinery, it was easy to make mistakes and required constant attention to detail. Management was typically involved with sales, which meant Tire Technicians had to work together and keep each other informed of upcoming tasks. Again, time management was crucial as customers would get irritated if their cars weren't completed at the promised time. This meant I had to develop customer service skills to help keep customers satisfied even if we were behind. I held this job while in high school, which meant I had to juggle sports, being a DECA State Officer, and other clubs on top of this job. I am familiar with work life balance, and can didn't let my mood outside of work effect my work. While most of this job was tedious and repetitive tasks, it still required attention to detail as one mistake would be expensive for the company, and potentially dangerous for the customer. Taking responsibility paired well with this, and mistakes had to be accounted for. We held each other accountable, but still worked together to get the best possible outcome.

I had to set up weekend and daily masses for priests and other staff members. This meant I had to be organized, effectively manage my time, and be a leader. I would teach new employees the organizational system that priests were dependent on. Parishioners would also come to me with questions, meaning I had to exercise customer service skills (often while mass was taking place). This job was subject to changes at different times of the year, meaning I had to be flexible yet confident. I'd work with other volunteers and staff, practicing team work with people that weren't used to working together. I also had experience with Microsoft Suites with this job, recording different types fo data depending on what was needed. I also practiced my data analyzation skills, and had to find messages in the data that would help inform the mass/people servicing the mass. I was routinely walking in this position, and am familiar with the physical requirements of various jobs.I held this job while in high school, which meant I had to juggle sports, being a DECA State Officer, and other clubs on top of this job.
