I share Thomas Edison's sentiment when he said, "Opportunity is often missed because it's dressed in overalls and looks like work."Hi, I’m Joe, I'm driven by a relentless curiosity that keeps me asking “Why?”— a lot. I’m passionate about helping customers, collaborating with colleagues (whether teaching or learning), and checking off tasks on my to-do list.I spent about 7 years as an investment consultant in Financial Services, earned my MBA from the University of Chicago (Booth), co-founded and scaled a venture to self-sustaining revenue, spent 4 years developing platform-centric cybersecurity business cases at Palo Alto Networks, and another 2 years crafting transformational cloud and AI business cases at Google Cloud. Now, I’ve joined Cribl to establish, build, and scale the Value Engineering program.Outside of work, you’ll likely find me hiking (with my wife, son, and dog), cycling, skiing, or planning my next wilderness adventure. I’ve led extended backpacking trips to over 21 national parks across the U.S., Canada, Chile, and Bolivia. I love starting my day early with a trail run, mountain biking, or backcountry skiing—there’s nothing like an intense workout to fuel my day.I served as Head of Finance and sat on the Board of Directors for Patrol Base Abbate (PBA), a non-profit supporting veterans. During my time there, I built and scaled the financial, compliance, and HR operations. Before that, I spent over 7 years as a Big Brother and nearly 3 years on the Leadership Board for Big Brother Big Sister.
