• Founding staff writer for Wired Design, the tech magazine’s design vertical• Researched, pitched, and wrote over 300 stories that consistently generate high levels of traffic and regularly rank as the most visited stories on the site• Appeared on CNN, PBS, and NPR to discuss 3-D printing and related technologies

• Created and delivered product strategy presentations to partner companies like Apple, Walgreens, CVS, Target, Kroger, and Sanofi• Identified new markets, prepared business plans and product concepts for executive review• Served as product/project manager for a $5MM+ development program, coordinating R&D, RA/QA,and operations while creating and managing a 1,000+ item Gantt chart• Developed trade/direct to consumer ad campaigns, bought media, and set up tracking mechanisms• Managed $5-500K trade show marketing programs—booth design, content development, staff training, and lead generation activities• Managed localization/translation activities for high SKU count global product launches• Designed mobile/embedded/desktop UIs with 50+ page pixel-perfect artwork specs• Developed relationships with key opinion leaders—HCPs, ePatients, analysts, etc.• Set up AgaMatrix website, analytics, lead generation efforts• Set up direct to consumer sales efforts coordinating inside sales, fulfillment, customer service alongwith list buying, online advertising, direct mail, and other customer acquisition activities

• Contributed to the development of the first FDA cleared medical device to work with the iPhone• Managed creation and maintenance of a 1,500+ labeling artwork and marketing material library• Established commercial brand—product naming, corporate identity, packaging design, etc.• Wrote and designed FDA cleared/CE marked owner’s guides and other instructions for use• Developed training materials/sales tools to support 30 person commercial team• Worked with Harvard Medical School professor to productize decision support algorithms• Championed the “voice of the customer” through expert reviews, customer panels, and one-on-oneinterviews—evaluating product concepts and marketing messages with 500+ stakeholders• Designed and executed surveys and studies to quantitatively assess the value of product features• Recruited and managed a team of user experience, industrial, and graphic designers

• Developed feature sets and PRDs for medical devices balancing insights from users, doctors/nurses, industry trends, competitive benchmarking, and engineering feasibility• Led industrial design efforts for several blood glucose meters and accessories• Invented over a dozen patent-pending improvements for diabetes treatment devices• Product managed desktop software for patients/HCPs to download and analyze medical data

In addition to medical device design at AgaMatrix I have completed a number of freelance projects for startups and established companies: APC, Burnes Group, Steelcase, Spectrum Knowledge, and Visible Measures.

Working with the Human Factors and Habitability group at NASA I developed product concepts for wireless communication devices and medical equipment to be used aboard the International Space Station. Participated in interviews with astronauts and concept generation with human factors specialists.
