Learning And Development Specialist
Current• Work as an agent of change to move the company forward while carrying leaderships message and vision.• Implement change management projects that improve HR processes, systems, structure, and culture. Monitor andmeasure the impact of interventions on staff performance, efficiency, employee retention, and job satisfaction.• Design and implement a variety of development initiatives, action plans, programs, and training materials.• Participates in the corporate weekly incident review meeting• Liaises with Federal and State (NY&VT) safety agencies (OSHA/VOSHA) to improve division safety performance• Provides on-site support to Off-site Safety Managers as needed or requested• Organizes, presents, documents OSHA mandated training as needed• Develops the company’s monthly safety newsletter• Coordinates the division’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) in internal and external VPP initiatives.• Develops and provides other training programs as requested by branch managers• Monitors division injury and illness incidents to identify trends and responses• Maintains the company’s safety database• Audits sites for OSHA/VOSHA and company compliance• Represents the company at local, regional, and national safety conferences• Represents the company as Member on the Board of the Northern Adirondack Safety and Health Council• Prepares and submits safety award nomination packages• Attends safety training programs to expand knowledge base• Attends and participates in quarterly company safety manager meetings
