Operations Manager
CurrentManage and oversee two Amazon Delivery Service Partner Stations (DSPs). Proactively drive success through servant leadership and extreme ownership, utilizing effective problem-solving and unparalleled communication.Simultaneously execute the entirety of operations for two DSPs responsible for ensuring last mile delivery of 8000+ packages daily; distributed across 50+ routes on both Cycle One and Two.Directly manage 100+ employees and oversee all HR matters such as scheduling, conflict resolution, pay, performance feedback and termination.Conduct daily stand-up meetings and facilitate ongoing coaching with employees by encouraging best practices associated with safe driving, delivery methodologies and customer engagement resulting in station leading metrics for both DSPs.Ensure a high level of quality resulting in a 'First Day Delivery Success' percentage exceeding 100% and packages 'Return to Station' rate of less than 0.5% (FDDS >100%; RTS <0.5%). Consistently analyze metrics and station quality reports to position the delivery stations for success while achieving 'Fantastic Plus' status week over week.Engage and coordinate with Amazon Logistics personnel concerning current operations and future capacity across multiple channels: On-The-Road, Under-The-Roof, DSL, and Central Ops. Circumvent crisis that arise during on-road operations, going on road when necessary to mitigate time and revenue loss.Lead and support daily dispatch operations by building and training a team of 8–10 supervisors consisting of openers, closers, trainers, dispatchers and fleet managers responsible for supporting drivers.Coordinate fleet management concerning the acquisition, safety and maintenance associated with a fleet of 60+ leased and rented cargo vans.Oversee pipeline for new employees: recruit, interview, hire, onboard and train.Maintain budgets, purchasing and audits associated with fleet costs, administrative supplies, employee uniforms and operational expenses.
