I'm a pharmaceutical physician with 24 years of industry experience spanning multiple disease areas and leadership positions who offers assistance to companies requiring high-level, senior medical support including drug development, safety risk management and regulatory interactions. Previously, I was VP of Virology & Transplantation in Development, Lifecycle Leader for a therapeutic vaccine in Business and Global Head of Safety Science Oncology at Roche Genentech.During my career at Roche, I led the team that designed and conducted the clinical program for PEGASYS that resulted in global approval and was a lead architect of the publications/ presentations strategy that yielded a multitude of original peer-reveiwed articles in major journals including 10 in NEJM. As a senior manager, I led groups of up to 50 physicians and scientists spread across 4 HQ sites in the US and Europe. My responsibilities included clinical development of Roche's prestigious HIV and HCV portfolios and safety oversight of Roche Genentech's world-leading oncology franchise.I chaired the Medical Peer Review Committee, served as departmental Compliance Officer, was responsible for coordinating pediatric drug development efforts, served on multiple Joint Steering Committees on partnered compounds, was the medical lead at multiple regulatory authority meetings in the US, Europe and Japan and served as lead responder at 3 FDA Advisory Committee Meetings. As an independent senior consultant, I have served as clinical lead and dossier author for a recently approved MoAb, medical lead for an orphan compound in a pediatric genetic disorder, safety consultant for 2 oncology companies and witness for a sponsor involved in tort litigation. I received my A.B. in Chemistry from Dartmouth College and my M.D. from the Univ. of Connecticut. I completed an internship/ residency in Internal Medicine and fellowships in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine and Medical Oncology at Yale University.
