AT&T technical consultants are strategic resources with extensive skills in delivering technical consultation, design and support for the AT&T sales team and customers. As a key strategic partner and technical resource, technical consultants provide advanced communications and networking solutions in support of AT&T sales and AT&T customers in the National Business Markets.As a consultant in the National Business Markets I work closely with a talented group of like consultants as well as a dynamic group of account executives. The scope of technical consultant’s role includes (but is not limited to) the following:•Understanding and being able translate customer business requirements into functional and technical requirements. •Consulting with customers regarding the extensive AT&T Portfolio, Including products and solutions such as wireline services, cloud based solutions, VPN, disaster recovery and contingency planning, mobility, telephony/VOIP, integrated messaging, wireless/mobility, SaaS, LAN/WAN optimization, unified threat management (UTM), and advanced security.•Solving client problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors •Providing detailed presentations and technical overviews for CIOs and IT Directors, cost benefit and return on investment (ROI) analysis for CEOs, CFOs, and also technology positioning and process mapping and improvement for COOs to help realize operational efficiencies.•Complex LAN/WAN and Telephony designs for customers.•Project Management: Working with clients on involved technology projects from the conceptual state to completion. Providing ongoing consultation, support, and guidance after implementation.While working as an individual and team to enhance the mission and goals of AT&T this position requires you to be a subject matter expert on a variety of products and instill technical confidence in the clients.

Working on a variety of projects including one for Austin area security integration firm wanting to move client server software product into the “cloud”. Created project charter – scope statement/statement of work. This includes Identification of project stakeholders- both internal and external, Technology Analysis: working with software vendor on system requirements and optimal configuration for to be used in the “cloud”, Risk Analysis: Identifying project constraints and concerns, as well as benefits in moving to the "cloud", Construction of a budget: performing a resource analysis and estimating the financial impact of the project, Creation of Request for Proposal (RFP): Identifying data centers to host the solution – the RFP encompassed all aspects of the client needs from performance, pricing, stability/redundancy, SLAs, support, and Scalability, the project also included implementation of a vendor selection methodology, as well as building a project plan: a roadmap to successful execution. I am also assisting identifying target market and pricing the “cloud” based solution and related support contracts to customers.Other projects included a clients with projects ranging from implementation of “ cloud” based HR systems, software development projects, platform integration and standardization, and rollout of a “ cloud” based training management system for a large Government agency.

I played a key leadership role guiding technology executives in identifying operational efficiencies, improving business processes, and strengthining our strategic position in the marketplace.

The Travis County Medical Society (TCMS) is a component society of the Texas Medical Association (TMA), a statewide professional organization of licensed physicians. With more than 3,200 members, the TCMS represents approximately 90% of all practicing physicians in the Greater Austin area.The TCMS represents the medical profession in matters of importance to the membership and to the community it serves. The Society's goals include maintaining high standards of medical practice, professionalism, and ethical conduct, promoting the common interests and unity of physicians in our community, and providing representation and advocacy for patients and physicians at all levels of government and medicine. It sponsors various programs and activities addressing local needs and contributing to a healthier community.As CIO I was charged with all aspects of IT; data center management, infrastructure, program/project management, cyber security, help desk and IT operations, telephony, contract administration, P and L, budgeting, forecasting, and implementation of technology solutions, vendor relations, and IT governance. I was acting Chief Security Officer and was the final review and signature on all HIPAA related material, as well as point person for IT audits and regulatory initiatives.

Chief Information Officer (and Chief Security Officer).: I was tasked with all aspects of IT including budgeting, forecasting, data center oversight, vendor management, and implementation of technology solutions for multiple organizations. Performed project acceptance and return on investment (ROI) analysis, as well as project management for a variety of projects ranging from installation and validation of clinical applications needed for compliance efforts, financial systems, business intelligence solutions, disaster recovery/contingency planning, as well as managing the efforts centered on physical and data security. As Chief Security Officer all HIPAA compliance measures were handled. This included implementation of network security and application controls, penetration testing, construction of security policies and procedures, employee training, as well as contract administration and review. I worked with the Director of Risk Management on all security related documentation, and was the final review and authorization on contracts and business associate agreements that dealt with the safety of patient data.

The Medical Service Bureau is a contact center/applications service provider for hospitals, clinics, and physician practices throughout Texas.Under my tenure the call center was revamped, processes and procedures were streamlined, all technology was refreshed and antiquated call center switch/ACD was replaced with a feature rich, internet enabled switch which integrated with client server and web based applications such as oncall scheduling, voice recording and archive, email and text capabilities, IVR solutions for patient test results and related data. This enabled the rollout of home based operators using VPN and Voice over IP (VOIP) technology to remotely handle critical calls.

I started off as a supervisor of computer operations working primarily on the Burroughs and Unisys A-Series platforms. I eventually moved into network engineering and administration working with both Novell 3.X and 4.X - as well as Microsoft Windows NT. I worked with rapid technology deployment team setting up new servers, workstations, printers, Cisco switches, Cisco routers and other network hardware, software, and tools when we acquired new branch offices or expanded our operations.As a project manager I was instrumental in the redesign of the bank's data center and migration into new operations center - this included creation of an RFP for a structured cabling plant and hardware procurement, vendor analysis, selection, and management as well as being point person in driving the bank’s move from a mainframe/dumb terminal environment to a dynamic server/workstation based environment using the latest technologies for connectivity and data management. I was also in charge of budgeting and forecasting for new technology and resources, and performed project acceptance modeling and ROI analysis for the institution regarding proposed solutions.I led the IT/DP staff in the creation of the Bank's disaster recovery plan and ongoing contigency strategy. I was also part of the ATM task force; programming and maintaining ATM machines in a 24/7 oncall environment which included meeting aggressive SLAs for maximum uptime.
