I worked with two Indigenous organisations during my secondment with JawunThe first, Rumbalara Aboriginal Cooperative, writing a business case for restructure to comply with Federal budget 2014. Rumbalara is a growing medium sized not for profit business, managing several service delivery arms such as: Medical services, Housing, Justice, Family services Aged Care/Disability, and Drug & Alcohol/Mental Health services. The second, Gallery Kaiela, developing content for their new web site. This involved interviewing the artists, taking their photos and writing detailed biographies on each. The Gallery is a not for profit Aboriginal Community Gallery and Studio. As well as providing a point of sale for artist's work the Gallery is committed to: Providing professional development opportunities and workshop space to its artists, promoting the South Eastern Australia Aboriginal Art style. Gallery Kaiela sees itself as having a responsibility to promote physical, spiritual and emotional wellbeing through engagement in art for both its artists and the community.
