Toby is a tax partner at Allens. He practises in corporate and international taxation, with a particular focus on tax audits and disputes and tax litigation.He leads the Tax Disputes group at Allens. He has acted for Australia's leading resource companies in a wide range of tax matters.He acts for large multinational groups in transfer pricing matters, including audits and disputes in relation to cross-border commodity sales, cross-border financing, intellectual property licensing and cost-contribution agreements. He has advised on mutual agreement procedures and tax treaty issues.As well as acting for clients in AAT and Federal Court proceedings, Toby acts for clients in independent reviews and Alternative Dispute Resolution processes, including mediations, early neutral evaluation and direct settlement negotiations with the ATO.He is a member of the Law Institute, and of the Law Council's Business Law Section Tax Committee and is a Chartered Tax Adviser of the Tax Institute.
