An entrepreneur from the beginning, I sold coffee and donuts at garage sales from age 5, and later, started an ice tea business at my high school. I enjoy identifying untapped markets, honing value propositions, and creating new products through the principles of human centered-design and lean startup methodology. My life has been filled with a diverse set of experiences driven by a curiosity and love of learning—particularly in science. I received a Bachelors of Science in Physics at Saint Louis University in 2013. While at SLU, I was a student researcher on an US Army funded project investigating parachute aerodynamics. My work helped contribute to a better understanding of the aerodynamic effects of vents and gaps on parachutes. This was an incredible experience for me, and I am so proud of the opportunity of helping to make contributions to parachute aerodynamics. While also at SLU, I worked as an intern at a distillation equipment manufacturing plant in southern China, learning an enormous amount about Chinese and international business.Seeking to meld my technical experience with entrepreneurship, I obtained a Master of Science in Engineering, Science and Technology Entrepreneurship at the University of Notre Dame. There I developed a commercialization plan for a new superconductor technology, enabling superconductors to carry more electric current and produce greater magnetic fields. My customer, market and technology research led to the completion of an action plan focused as a value-added product for medical imaging devices such as MRI and enhanced superconducting wire for power grid and physics research.In my free time I enjoy traveling, gardening, symphonies, Yiddish theater and literature, painting, modern design, and learning about new foods and drinks.
