Over the summer, I worked as an intern for my county’s engineering division. During this time, I worked in the Buildings Division and learned valuable lessons that I will use going forward. Some of my responsibilities included going to job sites as an inspector and working in the office to conduct takeoffs and research for new projects. I believe that this experience has prepared me for a successful career in the engineering field.

In order to have a productive day, I must work in unison with the lead teacher. This position also requires a set schedule and multitasking to complete activities and responsibilities in a given timeframe.

During breaks in college, I worked at my local grocery store. My job as a grocery associate helped me with teamwork as all the associates would work together to complete the task at hand. Our main duties most nights was to make sure everything that arrived on the truck that day was out on the shelfs by night. Up to ten people would be working on this job at once so teamwork and chemistry were imperative.

During summers and most weekends, I performed various tasks at The Goddard School in Piscataway. My duties included painting, powerwashing, changing fluorescent light bulbs and HVAC filters, as well as various building and playground repairs. In addition, I stocked the snack and paper product storage cabinets as well as replaced the soap, toilet paper and paper towels in the rest rooms.
