I teamed up with Atlantis as an early stage dental medical device startup to develop our digital and physical product technology, invent our industry creating production processes, and scale our digital manufacturing and automation capabilities. We rapidly acquired customers with highly customized patient-specific products and industry changing lead times. The company was acquired by Astra Tech AB.

As the 4th team member, I joined this startup to transform a high performance imaging business into a turn-key solution provider of high-speed imaging, automatic spray actuation, and software analytics systems for pharmaceutical drug development. I developed our core hardware and software systems, built our manufacturing capabilities, and led ISO 9001 and FDA registrations for our patented SprayVIEW systems. Customers included novel and generic pharmaceutical companies such as AstraZeneca, GSK, ScheringPlough (now Merck & Co), Ivax (now Teva), Aviron (now MedImmune) among others.

We collaborated with leading industry scientists in advanced semiconductor materials to evaluate the performance of novel materials, their effects on Silicon processing outcomes, and develop new processes for nano-scale semiconductor manufacturing. This led us to launch a startup, the Innovative Planarization Labs, to solve revolutionary technical challenges in IC design and fabrication. Notable clients included Intel, Cabot Microelectronics, Degussa, and Hitachi among others.
