Visibility is an industrial design studio based in New York City. It was founded by Joseph Guerra and Sina Sohrab in 2012.The studio focuses on the purity of an idea, as well as its material and formal actualities. The constant ambition is to move forward while looking back, drawing on observation and innovation as instruments of development. Visibility aims to distill an object to what it wants to be, retaining what appeals to our human sensibilities.

As an industrial designer I had the opportunity to take inventions from the Quirky online community and turn them into tangible, considered products. I worked on a team that specializes in building out new product categories and spaces for Quirky to enter. We focused on developing Quirky's new toy, fitness and pet lines.

As an intern I was one of the lead designers for the Swiss studio, Big Game. Designed as well as assisted in the development of a variety of products ranging from tabletop accessories and wearable accessories to furniture pieces for some of the most esteemed companies in the European design arena, this work was shown in the Milan Salone 2013.

First American intern to work at the internationally renown and award winning design office in London. As an intern I had the opportunity to work on multiple product development projects at once. Assisted in research, exhibition design, model investigation, ideation and development on several projects for a variety of international clients such as Muji and Herman Miller.

Assisted industrial designer Leon Ransmeier on the development of several projects for international clients in the furniture industry including Herman Miller. Worked directly with the designer on all facets of product development, including concept development, model making and prototyping, CAD modeling with SolidWorks, production development, and pitching new projects.

Designed and constructed luxury furniture and home-goods. Worked as part of a small in-house production team to manufacture all orders from the company’s catalog. Gained first-hand experience with every facet of the studio. Designed and prototyped my own piece, while taking into consideration the studio’s aesthetic.
