Good Grief builds resilience in children, strengthens families, and empowers communities to grow from loss and adversity. Good Grief's centers in Princeton, Morristown, Newark, and Jersey City support grieving families free-of-charge, while Good Grief Schools teaches children in grades k-12 to become more resilient. Through direct support, education, and advocacy, Good Grief is changing the conversation on childhood bereavement and adversity.• Expanded programs with innovative initiatives, including Good Grief Schools, Routes to Resilience, satellite locations, Grief Expressions Summer Camp, and Resilient Parenting for Bereaved Families.• Purchased and renovated the Margaret Anne Wilby Center in Princeton• Led 14 years of consecutive programmatic growth, supporting 900 participants each month at four campuses that include two Family Support Centers and two satellite locations• Formed strong partnerships with Boys and Girls Club of America, RWJBarnabas Health System, Duke University, Arizona State University, Option B, Outward Bound, and the Funeral Service Foundation• Led the strategic expansion into more than 185 communities and 3 states• Inherited a $200K deficit and grew a $2MM surplus• Raised more than $14MM• Led Good Grief through the pandemic with a $750,000 surplus• Fulfilled a $2MM capital campaign• Led and completed 3 strategic plans with a team of 21 employees, 11 contractors, 250+ trained facilitators and an 18-member board.• Launched two new signature fundraising events: “Golf Fore the Kids” and “5K Run & Walk for Hope”

The Youth & Funerals Initiative through the Funeral Service Foundation is providing resources to children and families immediately after a loss by equipping families and the funeral profession with the tools they need to navigate loss. The Y&F Initiative is in more than 12 countries, and I have the honor of representing this movement, which has been described by professionals as "the greatest thing since Elisabeth Kubler-Ross."
