Position Description: The responsibility of the Student Union Technical Associates is the operation, maintenance, and support of all events in the multiple venues of the Student Union and Robinson Theatre. This includes operation of lighting and sound equipment, equipment maintenance, event setup and direct customer or client support. -Ability to communicate needs of a client in an effective, courteous and professional manner -Responsible for setup and operation of A/V and theater equipment during scheduled events -Knowledgeable use and operation of the various equipment including, but not limited to: projection, sound equipment, stage lighting -Proper maintenance of the equipment and timely reporting of broken or malfunctioning equipment -Proper maintenance of the space (theatre, conference rooms amphitheatre, auditoriums) including organizing storage areas, performing basic theater maintenance and general cleanup as needed -Ability to lift objects that are at least 40lbs -Reporting of any incidents, injuries, confrontations, etc. to Professional Staff or Building Managers. -Execute emergency procedures when necessary -Be available to work nights and weekends as necessary. -Perform other duties assigned by the Building Manager on duty and Union professional staff.

This includes physical education, homework assistance, current event discussions, art projects, seasonal events, etc. -To clean and maintain all areas of the in and outside the facility. -To assist with the promotion & marketing of adult group exercise classes such as creating flyers & providing specific information. -Taking payments and explaining rates / space details in person & on the phone for events held at the McGrits Creek & Julian Barrs Community Centers-Working closely with my supervisor to make sure that the center runs efficiently. -Attend to any and all needs of center clients, and groups such wheelchair basketball, city league basketball, line dancing, group exercise, West Civic Jax, etc. -Organizing and securing city property such as computers, sports equipment, and making rounds. -Opening & Closing Duties: Making the center presentable for the day and locking / arming the building at night. -Answering incoming calls & corresponding via email frequently.
