Forecast the completion of contract products and accelerate the production of deliverables as appropriate. Work with the prime contractor to coordinate all aspects of the contract, to include all aspects of personnel management. Report the contract status and progress to corporate leadership. Execute the directives of the senior leadership. Monitor and advise on fiscal issues pertaining to the contract. Seek out efficiencies and cost savings across the spectrum of the initiative.

At the direction of the Adjutant General and the Governor of Alaska, The Director of the Joint Staff coordinated the military response during domestic emergencies utilizing the FEMA National Incident Command System. Through the input of local leadership and emergency planners, the Joint Staff incorporated the understanding that disasters are recurring events with four phases: Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery. In conjunction with leaders at the federal, state, and local agencies, the Joint Staff team collaborated to plan and train for a multitude of complex events that threatened the lives, the wellbeing, or the property of Alaskans. Through numerous preestablished plans, the Joint Staff ensured that the military forces in Alaska were poised to respond in support of civil authorities should a crisis arise. The Joint Staff coordinated training with other military forces to identify roles and responsibilities in the event that these forces were called upon to respond to a disaster in the most geographically diverse state in the nation.

I conjunction with the USPFO for Alaska, supervised the acquisition, supply, and accountability of the Federal property issued by the National Guard. In accordance with guidance from the USPFO for Alaska, planned and administered the budget for the Alaska Army National Guard and allocated Federal funds for the training, equipping and sustaining the units of the Army National Guard. Established training requirements of USPFO. Encouraged the divisions of the USPFO to continue the professional development of its personnel by obtaining relevant financial management certifications. Closed gaps and resolved shortfalls in the various budgets and reinforced its fraud prevention program. Oversaw the logistics, finance, comptroller, purchasing and contracting, and internal review sections of the USPFO. Worked closely with state and national level leaders to develop multiyear spending plans. Responded to audits from the national level. Ensured organizational funding was fully executed and obligated according to federal law. Complied with all laws pertaining to Equal Opportunity/Equal Employment Opportunity within the USPFO.

Oversaw and directed the execution of a $10M budget to maximize training and unit readiness. Managed a fleet of 20 UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, 8 C-23 Sherpa airplanes, a C-12 Huron airplane. Ensured the readiness of soldiers who provided maintenance and support services necessary for aviation operations anywhere in the world. Specialized in Arctic operations. Lead the battalion that had a combined value of equipment of excess of $400M. Supported management initiatives to include the Internal Control Program, recruiting and retention, safety, standards, and the Equal Opportunity program. In addition to this command responsibility and duties as the Deputy USPFO, attended the online United States Army War College leading to a master's degree in Strategic Studies.

Reported to senior leadership at the state and national levels concerning the readiness of the aviation program. Supported management initiatives to include the Internal Control Program, recruiting and retention, and the Equal Opportunity program.
