Plan, coordinate, and direct the execution of the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Defense (MoD) transformation initiative for the Royal Saudi Land and Naval Forces. Oversee the development and completion of contract deliverables and ensure the products are compliant with the Target Operating Model established for the Forces. Serve as the focal point for addressing design issues for the Project Delivery Teams, Forces, and the Saudi MoD Transformation Management Office (TMO). Address and resolve program and project issues through collaboration with stakeholders. Maintain contract deliverable timelines through comprehensive planning and management of the project plan. Collaborate with the Saudi Forces, the TMO, and the Project Delivery Teams to execute the contract as specified in the deliverables acceptance criteria. Manage a Program Team which provides technical guidance and support to two Project Delivery Teams. Forecast the completion of contract products and accelerate the production of deliverables as appropriate. Work with the prime contractor to coordinate all aspects of the contract, to include all aspects of personnel management. Report the contract status and progress to corporate leadership. Execute the directives of the senior leadership. Monitor and advise on fiscal issues pertaining to the contract. Seek out efficiencies and cost savings across the spectrum of the initiative.

At the direction of the Adjutant General and the Governor of Alaska, The Director of the Joint Staff coordinated the military response during domestic emergencies utilizing the FEMA National Incident Command System. Through the input of local leadership and emergency planners, the Joint Staff incorporated the understanding that disasters are recurring events with four phases: Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery. In conjunction with leaders at the federal, state, and local agencies, the Joint Staff team collaborated to plan and train for a multitude of complex events that threatened the lives, the wellbeing, or the property of Alaskans. Through numerous preestablished plans, the Joint Staff ensured that the military forces in Alaska were poised to respond in support of civil authorities should a crisis arise. The Joint Staff coordinated training with other military forces to identify roles and responsibilities in the event that these forces were called upon to respond to a disaster in the most geographically diverse state in the nation.

Anchorage, Alaska, United States

Served as the commander of more than 2,000 soldiers and civilians of the Alaska Army National Guard. Provided the vision, mission, and key objectives for subordinates and provided these leaders the opportunity to further refine and tailor the plans for their units. Relied upon brigade commanders and the staff to formulate short- and long-term training plans for the organization. Mentored, coached, and trained subordinate leaders through a comprehensive counseling program. The counseling program served as the basis for the annual appraisals of these leaders. Developed high unit morale through clear training guidance and the delegation of authority to subordinate leaders to make command decisions for their units. Accepted mistakes as learning opportunities instead of a path to discipline. Maintained a high level of operational readiness by encouraging tough, realistic training. Enforced high standards across the organization, acknowledging high performers and correcting those who fell short of objectives. Developed subordinates for positions of increased responsibility with the goal of assisting soldiers to reach their full potential. Instilled trust, transparency and teamwork in the organization which resulted in a high level of confidence in command policies. Commanded a diverse group of units including Infantry, Aviation, Engineers, Military Police, and Medical professionals. Developed guidance with my staff to prioritize training and ensure collaboration between units. Prioritized individual and unit resilience to increase readiness in the organization. Oversaw a multimillion-dollar budget for supply and logistics, equipment and personnel expenses. Deployed units to the war fight as ordered by the Department of the Army. Provided assistance to civil authorities as required. Supported all senior command imperatives to include equal opportunity and the recruitment of soldiers from every demographic population in Alaska.

Joint Base Elmendorf/Richardson, Alaska

J3: Provided planning, coordination, and shared situational awareness to assist the Alaska National Guard and joint/interagency mission partners in the execution of domestic operations. Supported the Adjutant General’s role to the Governor of Alaska to promote a unity of effort in emergency response activities. Ensured units identified for domestic operations roles are trained appropriately. Developed multibranch and multiagency coordination and collaboration at the local and national levels.G3: With the guidance of the Commander, coordinated with Army units to plan their training calendars for their diverse mission sets. Coordinated training and deployment requirements with the National Guard Bureau. Oversaw the individual and collective training for the organization. Manage a multimillion-dollar budget for training and deployments ranging from individual Soldiers large units. I conjunction with the USPFO for Alaska, supervised the acquisition, supply, and accountability of the Federal property issued by the National Guard. In accordance with guidance from the USPFO for Alaska, planned and administered the budget for the Alaska Army National Guard and allocated Federal funds for the training, equipping and sustaining the units of the Army National Guard. Established training requirements of USPFO. Encouraged the divisions of the USPFO to continue the professional development of its personnel by obtaining relevant financial management certifications. Closed gaps and resolved shortfalls in the various budgets and reinforced its fraud prevention program. Oversaw the logistics, finance, comptroller, purchasing and contracting, and internal review sections of the USPFO. Worked closely with state and national level leaders to develop multiyear spending plans. Responded to audits from the national level. Ensured organizational funding was fully executed and obligated according to federal law. Complied with all laws pertaining to Equal Opportunity/Equal Employment Opportunity within the USPFO.

Joint Base Elmendorf/Richardson, Alaska

Dual assignment as the Commander of the 1st Battalion 207th Aviation Regiment and the Deputy USPFO. Responsible for the leadership and training of 356 Soldiers who accomplished an array of missions in combat and domestic operations. When not deployed, the unit supported Army, Joint Service, and civilian support operations. Trained, mentored, and counseled subordinate leaders which engendered trust, soldier discipline and operational readiness. Provided key training objectives for the unit then delegated execution responsibilities to subordinate commanders. Oversaw and directed the execution of a $10M budget to maximize training and unit readiness. Managed a fleet of 20 UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, 8 C-23 Sherpa airplanes, a C-12 Huron airplane. Ensured the readiness of soldiers who provided maintenance and support services necessary for aviation operations anywhere in the world. Specialized in Arctic operations. Lead the battalion that had a combined value of equipment of excess of $400M. Supported management initiatives to include the Internal Control Program, recruiting and retention, safety, standards, and the Equal Opportunity program. In addition to this command responsibility and duties as the Deputy USPFO, attended the online United States Army War College leading to a master's degree in Strategic Studies.

Joint Base Elmendorf/Richardson, Alaska

Responsible for the leadership, management, resourcing and training of the Alaska Army National Guard aviation program. Oversaw the safe and effective execution of the annual 6500-hour fixed wing and rotary wing flying hour program. Administered the $20M aviation budget which included aviator training and development, mission support, and airframe maintenance and upgrades. Collaborated with senior and subordinate leaders to establish the vision, mission statement, and key objectives for the aviation program. Provided the short- and long-term guidance to the aviation organization for combat and peacetime operations. Oversaw the primary Army Aviation Support Facility at Fort Richardson and four satellite aviation facilities in rural Alaska. Served as the approval authority for search and rescue mission requests sent through the Rescue Coordination Center from civilian law enforcement agencies. Provided military and civilian personnel management, construction planning and execution, and operations support for Bryant Army Airfield. Managed 110 full time personnel involving all aspects of aviation facility and airfield operations. Managed union engagements to include conflict resolution. Forecast and represented the strategic initiatives of the Alaska Army National Guard at the National Guard Bureau to secure the fielding of new equipment, funding for operational requirements, and flight schools management. Reported to senior leadership at the state and national levels concerning the readiness of the aviation program. Supported management initiatives to include the Internal Control Program, recruiting and retention, and the Equal Opportunity program.
