I work at Design Group Facility Solutions as a senior facilities planner and project manager. My role consists of meeting with new and existing clients to develop lasting relationships through the creation of innovative designs. My work has historically been to work with our clients to truly understand the nature of their needs and develop the best and most efficient solutions for projects. It is always a great day when I am able to take a client’s ideas and develop them into tangible solutions.

I shared my knowledge of industries by instructing one of the graduate level Operations Management courses at SNHU. I have since, taken time off from instructing courses to enjoy more quality time with my daughter. I currently return to SNHU once per semester to speak with the Operations Management class to discuss the design considerations and methods involved in designing a manufacturing or warehousing facility.

I worked as a brick and stone mason for about eight years. During this period I worked in the field on projects ranging from exterior stone work such as patios, walkways, and walls to new and restoration work of fireplaces and chimneys. Much of my work was focused on building and restoring brick and stone work. Along with the time spent working as a brick and stone mason many of our projects required general construction skills. We had executed many projects requiring electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills. Tasks such as outfitting a home with a full finished basement, construction of a new garage, and the complete renovation of multiple homes required an overall general knowledge in each of the major skill sets required in construction.

I had a brief period of work during my transition from field construction to designing and facilities planning. Hoeft and Hoeft is a construction company that specializes timber framed homes. During my stay I worked as a design builder and a retrofitted timber framed home. This position broadened my skill sets within this industry and required sharp organization skills to manage significantly different within one central industry.

This was a seasonal position in which I helped to run the rental department operations at Crotched Mountain Ski Area. In this position I was responsible for the managing and scheduling of a team of about 20-30 people responsible for everything from Ski and Snowboard rentals to equipment repair and maintaining a clean presentable space.
