Research and Development Engineering at DENSO saw me work alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team within the Automotive and New Mobility space. I was involved in a variety of engineering activities including thermal systems Proof of Concepts (POC), Electrical Control Unit (ECU) development and Model Based Design (MBD). This enabled me to continue to develop my knowledge and expertise in Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineering, where I contributed to project outcomes to meet customer specifications.This role involved electronic control, battery management development and embedded system design where bench testing and verification of these items was fundamental to meeting stakeholder requirements.

As a junior manufacturing engineer at Crusader Caravans I provided technical support to the production line in order to minimise downtime and increase process efficiency whilst ensuring quality of the final assembly is maintained. Initially employed through an internship program, I was assigned the project of analysing and synthesising a new plant layout. This layout utilises lean manufacturing philosophies and process flow optimisation to enable increased manufacturing quantities to be produced and the increasing consumer demands to be met. Following the completion of this internship project, I was awarded the opportunity to continue on at the company in my current role. I worked on enhancing the optimisation and standardisation of manufacturing processes in order to maintain consistent production output as well as implementation of the accepted proposal elements.

Employed under the Defence TAFE Employment Scheme (DTES), as a Trainee Technical Officer, I completed two rotations in separate engineering domains of the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). Conduction of these complex technical tasks enabled the support of defence procurement and sustainment projects.

As a member of the Mechanical Design and Development team within RMIT Electric Racing, my primary role was to design, analyse and manufacture components related to driver interface. This involved drafting components in Solidworks, performing stress analysis and producing technical drawings in order to manufacture and assemble various car components. The manufacturing techniques utilised included additive manufacturing, laser cutting and machining. Liaising with team members and end users (drivers) was essential to ensure compatibility with alternate systems and suitability for end use, as well as ensuring alignment with Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (FSAE) design specifications.
