Josh Binda is a first-generation African American, born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. He is the son of two Liberian immigrants who came to the U.S. as refugees after escaping a civil war. Josh is a well-renowned activist, dedicated to creating positive change in his community. In 2021, he achieved a remarkable milestone by winning his election to the Lynnwood City Council, becoming the youngest African American ever elected in Washington State history and one of the nation's youngest politicians at the age of 21. Aside from his political career, Josh is also a renowned public and motivational speaker, entrepreneur, a self-published author, with his debut book titled "Breaking Barriers,” and recognized for his exceptional achievements, Josh was honored as one of the 425 Business magazine's "30 Under 30" brightest and youngest professionals of 2022.
