I spent almost 10 years in the digital marketing profession doing everything I could to try and climb the "corporate ladder" only to realize that when I got to the top, it was leaning against the wrong building. The idea I had during college of finding a “good job” with which to provide for a family and have an amazing life was far from being fulfilled.Adult life had turned into 70+ hour weeks, working from sunup to sundown, including on most weekends. Sure, I was making enough money to get by, but far from what I needed to support my family and pay back the $50k+ in student loans from my college days.This also lead to my physical and mental health being far from healthy. In 2016, this came to a head and I was faced with a difficult decision of continuing the life that was slowing killing me, or making a change that would provide a more balanced life for my family.While i had ventured once previously into entrepreneurship, this was the first time when the journey was the goal, not a temporary solution like it had been in the past.
