Joshua Leland Evans is the Chairman and Founding Partner of Lelands, the original sports auction house. He revolutionized "The Hobby" as it is commonly known, and through passion for the material and unflinching commitment to authenticity, took it to the heights it now occupies in our popular culture. He started in 1969 at the age of eight when he set up at his first show with his parents Maxine and Stuart Evans, collectibles pioneers in their own right. He founded Lelands in 1985, and is credited for defining the term "sports memorabilia" and is universally recognized as the leading expert in the field. With partner Michael Heffner a hobby powerhouse in his own right, they have continued as cutting edge auctioneers over three decades.
