At Maximus, it makes me proud to have started at the bottom of the company and worked my way up. By my 4th year in the company, I had went from a low line staff member to a high ranking technical position. My proudest moment at Maximus was leading a team of 5 across 5 different departments in modernizing all of our knowledge base articles for our staff. It was a 6 month project, but we finished ahead of schedule, and with great praise from the line staff and management. My role at Maximus consisted of conducting User Acceptance Testing for newly implemented functionality for Maximus's custom built Java application. I also participated in the writing of business requirements, designing the behavior of the functionality, offering technical support for line staff, and conducting root cause analysis for defects discovered in the custom application. At 3M I learned to write SQL queries, write test cases, worked on reading C# code, and built relationships with all my project colleagues along with third party vendors and the client. I became proficient at different phases of testing, including: Data Conversion, ETL, Performance, User Acceptance, Regression, and White/Black Box. I also learned a great deal about Twain Drivers, JAWS software, integrating interfaces and third-party software into a custom build application environment. Currently at NCR, I am working on the Retalix (R10) and Aloha software applications in conjunction with NCR's customer, Whole Foods, for their Point of Sale and Self-Service Checkout terminals. Amongst translating business requirements into test scenarios and test cases (housed in HP ALM then in Tricentis Q-test) I worked on a very collaborative team where I mentored new team members as well as served as a SME in several areas of the applications. After some transition, I took on more of a technical triage role within NCR and am currently focused on delivering high quality software to Whole Foods Market.
