As a staff in GBQ's assurance practice, I work with a number of clients across several industries to ensure timely completion of their financial statement audits. One of my favorite parts of my job is finding ways to introduce efficiency into the processes throughout the audit work I'm responsible for. I've become known internally as one of the firm's.

As an accounting intern at Redbox, I assisted the finance department in various ways during their month-end close processes and initial public offering, including performing account reconciliations, pulling and verifying audit support, and correcting variances. I also sought to reduce process inefficiencies wherever possible, such as through optimizing.

In my main role at Jewel-Osco, a stock clerk in the grocery department, I had a myriad of responsibilities. Some of my main responsibilities included stocking shelves, breaking down shipments, backroom organization, and taking phone calls. Some of my more specialized responsibilities included writing orders, taking inventory counts, and receiving.
