As a history student, multiple thesis papers have helped me develop exceptional writing and organization skills while improving my overall ability to manage my schedule and work under time-pressured constraints. I added to this experience after I started my intern position at the Office of the Minister of Energy in May 2017 by actively participating in policy meetings, assisting in planning tours ofor the Minister, and assisting the MPP Liaison in crafting messages in reply to constituents or constituency offices of other MPPs. My time as an intern in the Ontario Ministry of Energy was followed by my position as the Office Manager and Scheduler for former Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs Jeff Leal. My experience here has allowed me to further develop my interpersonal skills while also developing management skills in ensuring that my fellow employees were able to work efficiently in positive work environment.Since July 2018, I have been working as a Jobs Analyst for HRWise Inc., continuing to build many of the skills I picked up through university and past jobs. As a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), I provide support and advice on pay equity and compensation practices to businesses across Ontario. The support and advice provided can range from supporting clients in decision-making regarding their compensation systems, to building and implementing pay equity job evaluation tools, systems, and plans. I regularly take initiative on projects with a variety of clients, which involves building and managing relationships with those clients consistently. It also involves independent project work with each client to ensure we achieve the goals outlined by our project plans.
